Deer Tick Prevention & Treatment
Please be advised that deer ticks are once again present on the trail. The LVTA is working to reduce the prevalence of deer ticks by keeping grass near the trail at a low height.
If you suspect that you have been bitten by a deer tick, you should see a doctor and receive antibiotic treatment within 24 hours.
Using DEET spray and wearing long pants can help prevent deer tick bites.
